Identifier Questions

  • What career am I really suited to do?
  • Should I study for all those years without being certain it is for me?
  • I have started work but really don’t like it. Is it me or the job, and what can I do without damaging my future prospects?
  • What do employers really want?
  • I’ve failed my professional exams. Should I retake or rethink?
  • What should I study at A Level? Is BTEC more me? Should I go to university? What degree would suit me best?
  • I can get interviews but not job offers. What am I doing wrong?

Initial study and career choices are some of the most important decisions a person will ever make. Young adults can feel under pressure from teachers, parents, peers or themselves, and, like most of us, do not react well to being told what to do.

Here’s where I can help! I am straight talking but act in the candidate’s interest. Being seen to be independent, young people are happy to talk freely. Using the thorough career counselling and psychometric assessment model, which I have refined over 25 years in the business, I gently uncover key skills and abilities already developed at an early age, and advise on career direction and options to maximise potential in line with job market and study options.

Candidates are put at ease, and when they see their career test profiles on paper, and when they understand that I have a real understanding of them, they feel inspired, listen to the career advice, buy in totally and take positive action!

What's Included

Psychometric questionnaires and a personal history/objective form will be sent by post in advance. These need to be completed and ideally returned ahead of time but can be marked on the day.

Assessment starts at 9.30am, with 2 1/2 hours of aptitude measurements followed by a break for lunch (provided), and then the 1 1/2 hour career consultation / counselling discussion (I see only one client per day so I am happy to overrun if necessary to ensure client satisfaction).

The detailed bespoke report will be sent 10 - 14 days following the career assessment consultation.

Investment - £545 (incl.)

All fees are due on the day. I accept cheque, BACS, or Credit Card payment can be made over the Internet through PAYPAL.

Career counselling consultations are held in my comfortable and personal office at my home in London SW16 (Tooting/Streatham borders)
